吉本興業は、宮城・気仙沼市の魅力を発信する「フカカツ（復活）気仙沼プロジェクト」を開始しました。所属芸人を現地水産大手の阿部長商店に派遣し、メカジキやホヤ、フカ（サメ）肉などの特産物の商品化、ＰＲ活動を共同展開。ＳＮＳや動画サイト、今春開設の衛星放送チャンネル「ＢＳよしもと」で発信していきます。市の協力を得て、東日本大震災の復興状況なども随時取り上げる予定です。
今回派遣されたのは調理師免許を持つ「けせんぬまペイ！」さん。阿部長商店の社員として魚の買付けや加工を行いながら、同社飲食店でのメニュー開発にも取り組みます。
先行開発された「気仙沼フカカツ（復活）サンド」は、モウカザメの肉で作ったカツに照り焼きソースを塗り、野菜とチリマヨソースを乗せてパンで挟んだ料理。気仙沼市にある観光物産施設「海の市」内のレストラン「リアスキッチン」で食べられます。
