記念電車は、東京海洋大名誉博士・客員教授で明石たこ大使のさかなクンが描いたイラストなどで装飾されています。運行に合わせて市内５（ギョ）駅（山陽明石、林崎松江海岸、江井ヶ島、東二見、西二見）には、さかなクンが描いたイラストのフォトスポットを設置。夏休み期間と大会直前にはスタンプラリーも開催するそうです。
